Literature Text

    The next day, as Lupus was taking a stroll outside. His back was hunched and he had a depressed look on his face as usual when suddenly, he heard someone yell off in a distance;
    “Hey! It’s that elf boy who saved our new generation Thaumaturge!”
    Then, there was cheering; Lupus straightened his back upright and a smile came onto his face. But how could they distinguish him from in the darkness? So many questions he was wondering but he was still thankful for the incident.

    He passed by Amarylis, who glared at him; he noticed but ignored her. Moments later, he bumped into the feline’s father, who just happened to be carrying groceries from a nearby trade center. The bags fell out of his arms and spilled onto the ground.
    “I’m so sorry, here let me help,” he scrambled to help pick up the groceries along with his belongings.
    The praecelis chuckled, “That's alright; hey, are you that elf who saved my daughter?"
    Lupus grinned, his face beaming with pride, and spoke, "Yes, why do you ask?"

    "I would like you to come back to our place, you seem to be worthy of aiding the Village."
    Lupus was dumbfounded, was he actually that worthy?

    Upon entrance to the house, Lupus saw a massive cauldron. Nearby it, there was a shelf of jars filled with a various assortment of colorful liquids.
    Across from that, in the corner was a large oak-stained desk with several books on it.
    By the desk, there was Amaryllis. She wore a colorful jewel on her chest which turned a deep amber upon her sight of Lupus; Amaryllis was holding a book but she closed it immediately as she glared at Lupus, brushing past him irritably.

    "Come Amaryllis, you need to show this young man around." Her father motioned her back to their lab, "I need to head back out and buy new supplies, now you behave yourself." With that, he patted the feline's head and left the room.
    Amaryllis shot daggers at Lupus, her gem now the color of ash. She ran a paw through her long bangs and pushed them off to the side in near frustration.

    Later, they walked into another room where Lupus was immediately greeted by an unusually large, white hamster who embraced his leg. He almost lost balance and nearly fell over from its impact; it started nuzzling him as it purred.
    Over in the corner, sitting by herself, was a blue wolf-like creature; it growled as Lupus entered.

    "What... Are these creatures?" He asked curiously to her.
    Amaryllis shook her head as she spoke, "Looks like you've still got a lot to learn, young elf-boy."
